Dr. Manan Thakrar on “Developing a Happy Mindset”. Happiness is a state of mind which can be achieved by being positive, and to be positive needs our concerted efforts. This was the underlined statement of Dr. Manan Thakrar, a well-known psychiatrist and consultant in the UK. He addressed several questions posed by the college students such as: how to overcome fear, how to free oneself from guilt consciousness, remedy for panic attacks and how to overcome the fear of being judged. Dr. Manan Thakrar very categorically explained to the students that the feeling of guilt and fear and of being judged are all human emotions and they have existed among human beings since primitive times. Nevertheless, it's not human like to sit back with your fear but to accept it and to work on it. He emphasized that we should align our thoughts, feelings and behaviour, and all have the right to be kind to themselves, and the right to be happy. The session was cathartic and will help many to deal with negative emotions. Dr. Manan thanked the Principal Dr. Snehal Kotak Palan for organizing such a session for the students. The principal Dr. Snehal kotak Palan thanked Dr. Manan for the insightful information that he shared, with a token of appreciation and Mrs. Sandra Moss the Vice Principal presented him with a plaque. The event was moderated by Ms Sneha Sumaria and guided by Dr. Snehal Kotak Palan the Principal.
