Shri G.H.Gosrani Commerce College and

Shri Gosar Hansraj Gosrani Commerce (Eng.Medium) & Shri Dharamshi Devraj Nagda B.B.A.College is an English Medium college at Jamnagar established by OSHWAL EDUCATION TRUST in June 1998 with the objective of imparting quality education to the students who desire to graduate in commerce and management.

This is a SELF - FINANCED college and Oshwal Education Trust has decided not to seek any financial assistance from the Gujarat Government.

This college, in a short span of time, has established its presence in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat.

This college is affiliated to Saurashtra University, Rajkot.

It is our endeavour to provide the best learning environment that enables our students to develop creative thinking ability, innovative idea building, analytical skills, interpretation of the prevalent situation and an understanding of the rapidly changing business environment so as to build a successful and a rewarding career.

We have a team of passionate, enthusiastic, vibrant, talented and dedicated faculties to develop human potential to its fullest, so that an all round development of intellectually capable and imaginatively gifted students can be ensured and they can emerge as successful professionals with professional ethics and corporate social responsibilities.

Shri Gosar Hansraj Gosrani Commerce College, established in 1998, is a private Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) college affiliated to Saurashtra University, Rajkot with a clear motto of Moulding the Minds and with a distinctive vision to shape versatile individuals, with the right balance of wisdom, social responsibilities and ethical values."

The college through its many activities educates students to become responsible citizens and ethical leaders and empowers graduates to pursue meaningful lives and productive careers. With a student –centric, participatory teaching –learning evaluation system the college assures students of optimal educational benefits. Running parallel with the nation’s trajectory towards selfhood and development, the college has evolved into an institution of repute, serving regional and local needs.

A student holding a B.Com Degree from GHG College is well prepared to sustain as a corporate employee or as an entrepreneur. The student has adequate knowledge of adapting to the changes in the flexible business world, can focus internationally and has an in-depth understanding of the business world’s market-relevant aspects. On the other hand, if the student chooses to start his/her own business, he/she can run it successfully and professionally without having to pay to expert accountants or market consultants.

Shri Dharamshi Devraj Nagda BBA College

Shri Dharamshi Devraj Nagda BBA College, established in 1998, is a private Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) college affiliated to Saurashtra University, Rajkot with a mission to foster holistic development of our students, where learning is an amalgamation of academics, nurturing of talents, strengthening of personal values and extending learning beyond classrooms.

Our objective of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives. We believe that if we want to make the best products we have to invest in the best ideas. We have been constantly rethinking and reinventing new, innovative teaching learning and evaluative methodologies, now we are finally poised to stand among the best and control our own future. DDN College offers an industry integrated BBA program that aims to bridge the gap between industry and academia. The industry-oriented curriculum of the course enhances the business skills required for the global corporate world. The pedagogy to impart education includes internships, project work, presentations, industrial visits, and challenging assignments, apart from routine classroom sessions.

GHG-DDN managed M.Com College

Shri Gosar Hansraj Gosrani Commerce and Shri Dharamshi Devraj Nagda BBA College, established in 1998, manages Masters of Commerce course (M.Com) since 2016 college affiliated to Saurashtra University, Rajkot with a clear motto of Moulding the Minds and with a distinctive vision to shape versatile individuals, with the right balance of wisdom, social responsibilities and ethical values."

With a mission to foster holistic development of our students, where learning is an amalgamation of academics, nurturing of talents, strengthening of personal values and extending learning beyond classrooms. Our endeavour is to champion the cause to build healthy, erudite and responsible citizens who can meet the challenges of this dynamic world.

We strive for continual evaluation, technological enhancement, innovative teaching and learning skills and empowerment of students.

Masters of Commerce or MCom is a post graduate level course ideal for candidates who wish to make a career in banking financial services and insurance (BFSI) as well as accounting and commerce sectors. The two-year course delves deeper into the functioning of the economy, capital, revenue, trade, taxes, etc. taught in BCom.

GHG-DDN managed C.S. Study Centre

Shri Gosar Hansraj Gosrani Commerce and Shri Dharamshi Devraj Nagda BBA College, established in 1998, manages Company Secretary (CS) Study Centre since 2019. The course is run under the aegis of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) with a clear motto of Moulding the Minds and with a distinctive vision to shape versatile individuals, with the right balance of wisdom, social responsibilities and ethical values."

Our endeavour is to champion the cause to build healthy, erudite and responsible citizens who can meet the challenges of this dynamic world.

We strive for continual evaluation, technological enhancement, innovative teaching and learning skills and empowerment of students.

The students who take up the professional course of Company Secretary equip themselves to take an upper-level position in an in all the organizational matters including security market, company law, corporate strategies and related cases. Also, the CS maintains regulatory compliance and company administration smoothly.

The company secretary also holds the important tasks of upkeeping the records of the company. They play a significant role in company reputation as they handle legal matters.

Proclaiming Glory

Ranked 4th in the Category of Residential colleges, UGC, in the third edition of Swachh Campus Ranking 2019 for Higher Educational Institutions.

12-03-2019 GHG DDN Campus

A total of 6900 institutions had applied and only a 136 institutions were shortlisted and evaluated on the basis of different parameters, of which 52were awarded.

The award ceremony was organized by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India at AICTE auditorium, New Delhi, on 3rd Dec 2019. Hon’ble Minister of Human Resource and Development, Shri. Ramesh Prokhriyal “Nishank”, addressed the gathering via video call. Our College won the 4th position in the category of residential colleges under UGC. The awards had a novel twist as each of the 52 awardees were given a green certificate with a QR code, which, when scanned displayed the sapling planted in honour of the college winning the swachhata Ranking 2019.A team of three experts had visited the campus on 3rd September 2019, to physically inspect the campus. The expert committee constituted of Prof. Hitesh Raviya, Department of English, M S University Baroda, who was the chairman cum Coordinator, Prof H B Patel, Central University Gujarat, and Dr. Dushyant Nimavat, Associate Professor, Department of English, Gujarat University.

Akanksha Sinha a student of our college of B.Com 2018-19 secured the First position in Saurashtra university and was awarded the Gold Medal on 7th Dec 2019 by the Hon’ble Governor of Gujarat Shri Acharya Devvrat.

LIBRARY

A well-equipped library housing a wealth of useful books or informative and interesting video facilities, coupled with a motivating or mood-lifting ambiance not only attracts students but also develops a liking to study. The library of 240.16sq.mtrs. has a rich collection of 18,850 books and 58 journals, with four computers, and all transactions fully computerized.+

COMPUTER LAB

Fully equipped and suitably designed laboratories with over 350 computers with an open access to staff and students with uninterrupted internet connection and regularly updated hardware, software and networking as per the requirement.

SPORTS

The college prides itself at being the owner of a large play ground which is today considered a great asset when the modern cities are suffering from a severe crunch for land and cities seem to be growing vertically. The facilities of Cricket Ground, Basketball Court, Badminton Court, Table-Tennis Room are available to students.

RECREATION CENTER

Recreation revitalises us and replenishes our energy levels, so that we continue to deliver goods at academics. Games like Table Tennis, Chess, Carom, and many more are played to recreate and recharge the students and staff.

HOSTEL

Apart from education, separate hostel facilities for Boys & Girls are available at reasonable rates for good and comfortable staying. Both the Hostels have become a big tree of shelter for the boys & girls coming from distant and far off places. Safety, Security and Soothing environment is provided to their convenient stay. The total accommodation facility for Boys & Girls Hostels is 80 students in each hostel.

CAFETERIA

The canteen which is a block away from the college is a spacious and clean place that tickles the taste buds of the college students by serving some delectable delights. The college has a large cafeteria catering to the palate of the youngsters with a seating capacity of 160, attached with a lush green lawn and caters to the gastronomical joys of the youngsters.

CLASSROOMS

The classrooms are large, airy each in an area of 700 or 1200 sq. ft. Each classroom is fitted with a roof mounted projector, a white board and a public address system.

Auditorium and Conference Hall

An auditorium equipped with the latest multimedia technology can serve as an ideal platform to showcase not only students’ various performances but also be a good utility for conducting various educational programmes. All gatherings and some major events are conducted in the hall on the 1st floor with a seating capacity of 500. To our pride we also possess an air conditioned mini auditorium to conduct various programs.

Potable water

Drinking water The students get clean and safe drinking water through the aqua guard, which is installed on each floor. We also have an RO plant which purifies 400 liters of water of which 200 litres is used for drinking and the rest for gardening.

Parking lot

A spacious parking lot for the girls and boys which is dotted with trees is a real sanctuary to the engines in the hot and arid zone of Saurashtra. The entire campus is a haven for birds and students alike, with 483 trees that surround the college.

It always feels great being a part of this esteemed Institute. It not only encourages us to dream but also provides a platform where dream comes to reality. College is the turning point, where one moves towards his ultimate goal that is decided & executed under the guidance of learned faculties, healthy campus environment and various co-curricular activities subject to hard work, dedication, focus and positive attitude of the student. I always find myself very blessed and take grea pride for being associated as the student of the institute. Life changes at every stage and brings more and more learning. I am heartily thankful to the institute for being the GURU in true sense. I obliged to hold that bond forever which shines our relations always!
